Donald Trump posted a direct appeal to Israeli voters on Sunday evening. He asked them to elect Benjamin Netanyahu as prime minister. The message appeared on Truth Social days before Israel holds its general election.

Trump called Netanyahu an outstanding Warrior Prime Minister. He cited Operation Midnight Hammer and Operation Epic Fury as proof of their success. The two leaders have been winning together, he wrote.

The post included a specific warning about the alternative. Trump stated that if Israel chooses anyone other than Netanyahu, the United States will have to handle the job itself. He described the job as the confrontation with Iran. Trump added that he is not inclined to do that work alone.

This is the second time Trump has endorsed Netanyahu for this campaign. The endorsement follows reports that Netanyahu increased his push for American support. Two American sources told The Jerusalem Post that Netanyahu and his allies in Trump's inner circle applied pressure for new statements.

The sources described the prime minister's behavior as unusual. They said they had never seen Netanyahu like this before. They characterized his actions as signs of political desperation.

Axios reported that the two leaders have spoken twice in the last three days. Netanyahu suggested specific wording for new endorsements. He also proposed that Trump speak with Israeli journalists to repeat his support.

The president's post combines praise for Netanyahu's leadership with a call to action. It frames the election as a decision about how the United States and Israel will manage their shared security efforts.
