Newegg drops price of ABS gaming rig with RTX 5070 Ti to $2,549.99

Newegg has reduced the cost of the ABS Stratos II Ruby pre-built gaming PC to $2,549.99. This price represents a $450 cut from the system's original list price. The retail offer makes this specific build the most affordable option on the site for customers seeking a pre-installed Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card.

The system is powered by an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor. This eight-core chip utilizes AMD's 3D V-Cache technology to provide 96MB of L3 cache. Tom's Hardware notes that the large cache reduces the need for the processor to access slower system memory. This design helps lower latency and maintains steadier frame rates during gaming sessions. While the chip is no longer the absolute top performer in benchmarks, the outlet states it remains very close to the leader and outperforms Intel's current offerings for gaming tasks.

Graphics are handled by the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. This Blackwell-generation card includes 8,960 CUDA cores and 16GB of GDDR7 video memory. It is designed for high-resolution play at 1440p and 4K resolutions. The card supports DLSS with multi-frame generation, allowing players to run ray tracing in current titles at 4K with top graphics presets. Tom's Hardware indicates that users may need to adjust settings in the most demanding games to maintain smooth performance at that resolution.

The machine includes 32GB of DDR5 memory, split into two 16GB G.Skill Ripjaws M5 Neo RGB modules running at 6,000 MT/s. Storage consists of a 2TB Team Group NV5000 M.2 SSD with Gen 4 speeds. This capacity is sufficient for multiple large game installations. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and Ethernet. A Bitspower 240mm all-in-one liquid cooler manages heat from the processor.

ABS is a brand owned by Newegg, which accounts for the wide availability of its systems on the retailer's platform. Tom's Hardware described the current pricing as strong for the market. The outlet expects the stock to sell out quickly given the combination of the high-performance CPU and GPU at the reduced cost.
