Apple has published technical specifications confirming that the iPhone Duo reaches 50 percent battery capacity in approximately 20 minutes only when paired with specific hardware. The company’s support documentation states that this wired charging speed requires the USB-C cable included in the device box along with a compatible power adapter.

The manufacturer identifies its own 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with 60W Max as one valid option, currently listed at $34. Apple also permits third-party adapters, provided they meet two technical criteria: they must utilize Adjustable Voltage Supply and support USB Power Delivery 3.2. Any adapter rated below 60W will not achieve the maximum wired speed.

Wireless charging operates at a slower pace. According to the same documentation, the iPhone Duo reaches 50 percent charge in about 30 minutes when using a wireless connection. This method requires either a MagSafe Charger, priced at $30, or an adapter rated for 35W or higher. Apple’s guidance lists compatible adapters from both Apple and Anker.

The company notes that users seeking longer reach can purchase the official 2-meter USB-C cable, which is available at a discount. The support page clarifies that the included cable is necessary for the fastest wired transfer rates.

Apple released these details in its product support files today. The documentation defines the exact power thresholds required for both wired and wireless charging modes.
