The final stretch of the Florida gubernatorial campaign concluded Sunday as early voting ended.

Democrat David Jolly addressed supporters in Coral Gables during his Believe in Better tour. His running mate, Gwen Graham, joined him on stage. Jolly outlined platforms for affordable housing, healthcare, education, and infrastructure. He stated that the outcome now depends on voter turnout on Tuesday.

Jolly said, “The reality is, this race is going to get decided by who shows up on Tuesday now, and I love that we’re starting where we are going into Tuesday.”

Republican Byron Donalds rallied in Tampa under his Florida Dream campaign. He promised to maintain low taxes, protect property owners, and preserve state freedoms. Donalds argued that limited government and low taxes attract residents to Florida.

Donalds said, “They come for the safe streets. They come for the limited government, the low taxes, and when it comes to your personal pockets, the no taxes.”

Other contests on the ballot include the U.S. Senate race. Democrat Angie Nixon pushed for support in South Florida to challenge incumbent Republican Ashley Moody. In the 27th congressional district, Republican Maria Elvira Salazar runs against Democrat Elliott Rodriguez.

Miami voters face a separate decision on Virginia Key waterfront property. Referendum 3 proposes a long-term lease for marina development. Opponents cite environmental concerns regarding the project.

An opponent of the referendum said, “They would have to dredge this entire bay bottom, right, eliminating all the seagrass, tearing up all the mangroves and wetland habitats.”

Polls open Tuesday at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Voters must cast ballots at their assigned precinct and bring valid identification with a signature.
