The St. Pete Reads! Lit Fest will take place Saturday, November 7, at the Woodson African American Museum of Florida. The event is free to the public and will run from 11 am to 4 pm at the museum located at 2240 9th Ave S.

The Cultured Books Literacy Foundation hosts the festival in partnership with the St. Petersburg Library System, Florida Humanities, and the Gobioff Foundation. The lineup includes authors Carole Boston Weatherford, R. Gregory Christie, and Mary Corbett. The Al Downing Tampa Bay Jazz Association will provide a musical performance during the event.

Participants can attend book signings, jazz storytime sessions, and youth poetry workshops. The programming is designed to engage readers of all ages and encourage young people to write and read. The festival aims to promote literacy within the local community through these interactive experiences.

The museum gallery will also be open to visitors from 10 am to 2 pm. During those hours, guests can view the Many Voices, One Nation exhibition. The festival itself begins at 11 am, allowing early visitors to explore the gallery before joining the main program.

This event offers a gathering space for families and book enthusiasts in St. Petersburg. It provides an opportunity to meet authors and engage with literary arts without a cost barrier. The schedule includes both educational workshops and entertainment elements for attendees.
