Emraan Hashmi’s upcoming musical horror feature, 'Rooh', has secured production support from Tips Films and Tips Music. Kumar Taurani has joined the project to oversee the film, which is scheduled for a 2027 theatrical release across the Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu markets.

Mayank Sharma directs the project from a screenplay he co-wrote with Vishal Kapoor. The film is a Vicked Films production, with Tips Films serving as the presenting entity. Taurani, Girissh Kumar, Vikram Khakhar, and Sunny Khanna act as producers, while Vikas Sahni serves as co-producer. Tips Music will handle the soundtrack release.

The narrative blends horror and romance, integrating songs directly into the plot structure. Hashmi has previously headlined Hindi-language horror titles such as 'Raaz: The Mystery Continues' and 'Ek Thi Daayan'. His filmography includes a track record of soundtracks that gained popularity independent of their parent films.

The Tips deal represents a professional reunion for Hashmi and Taurani. Taurani noted that Tips produced Hashmi’s first film, 'Footpath'. He described the collaboration as an opportunity to recreate past successes. Taurani expressed excitement about working with Khakhar and Khanna to deliver a theatrical experience.

Hashmi characterized the partnership with Taurani as serendipitous. He emphasized the importance of music in audience connection for his work. The goal for 'Rooh' is to create a soundtrack that captures the film's romantic and haunting emotional roots.

Vikram Khakhar of Vicked Films Productions labeled the project as special for the company. He identified the addition of Tips entities as a major step forward. Khakhar stated the team aims to provide an immersive horror experience in theaters next year.

Sunny Khanna expressed delight at the arrival of Taurani and Kumar. He cited their combined track record in film and music as a key factor for a project where music is central. Khanna confirmed the intention to take 'Rooh' to audiences in all three target language markets.
