Anker Space 2 Headphones Fall to $106.49 at US Retailers

The price of Anker’s Space 2 noise-canceling headphones has dropped to a record low of $106.49. As of October 23, the discount of $23 is available at Amazon, Best Buy, and Walmart. The reduction applies to all three color options currently in the lineup.

The Space 2 serves as the successor to the Space One, a model that John Higgins of The Verge identified as a top budget option in 2023. While the new version carries a list price $30 higher than the original, the current markdown reduces the cost difference between the two generations. The update focuses on enhanced active noise cancellation and refined audio accuracy.

The primary technical improvement lies in the suppression of low-frequency noise. The Space 2 handles sounds from sources like trains and airplane engines more effectively than the previous model. Soundcore also adjusted the hardware design to produce a more accurate sound profile compared to the Space One.

Several features from the original model remain, including support for high-resolution LDAC audio. The headphones also include HearID 3.0, a tool that personalizes the listening experience. Users complete a series of audio samples, and the device adjusts its output based on the results.

Battery performance has increased substantially. With active noise cancellation enabled, the Space 2 provides up to 50 hours of playtime. This figure exceeds the 40 hours offered by the older model. When noise cancellation is disabled, the battery lasts up to 70 hours, a rise from the previous 55 hours.

The device includes a 3.5mm jack for wired connection if the battery depletes. It also features automatic playback pausing when the headphones are removed from the head. This function allows users to resume audio at the exact point of interruption.

The Verge cited the stronger noise cancellation and improved sound quality as reasons for recommending the Space 2. At the current discounted price, the headphones are cheaper than any previous point in their availability, although they remain $30 above the original cost of the Space One.
